What it REALLY looks like to choose yourself ✨

Hello beautiful soul

Can I be real with you? Sometimes I have to stop and take a breath to take it all in.

The women I get to work with?
They are literally walking case studies in courage, clarity, and quiet power.

And I get to witness them in all of their glory, as they say powerful no's, empowering yeses, and step into their fire.

And today I realised… I don’t share enough of them with you.

Not to spotlight their success for show—
But to honour the real story.

What it looks like when women choose themselves.
When they lead in ways that are true, intuitive, and deeply human.
When they come home to who they really are.

It’s not always loud. But it’s always powerful.

I feel so lucky to walk alongside them.
And I want to begin sharing more of their journeys here—little by little.

First up: Shivani Pathak.

When Shivani and I first met, she was already extraordinary.
A founder. A product leader. Brilliant by any measure.
But she wasn’t resting on any of that.

She came to coaching with me ready to grow—not because she wasn’t enough, but because she was ready for deeper alignment.

To build something more authentic. To lead with integrity. To stop splitting herself between who she was at work and who she was in life.

She showed up consistently.
She asked the brave questions.
And she began the slow, deliberate process of unbecoming everything that wasn’t truly her.

“Ruth helped me create a clear and compelling vision for my business—one that plays to my strengths and takes into account my broader life goals, so I no longer feel the need to bifurcate who I am at work, and who I am in life.”

The foundation she built in that season even though she was still employed and making her mark in the startup world—through inner work, deep clarity, and daily commitment—wasn’t just a leadership upgrade. It was a reclamation.

And that work prepared her for what came next.

Because recently, Shivani made a bold, beautiful pivot.
Not to just do something new—but to step fully into her dharma.

Her soul’s true calling.

Today, she’s a Certified Money Coach—supporting humans to rewrite their money stories, claim their worth, and build grounded financial confidence.

But this didn’t happen overnight.

It’s the result of a thousand tiny choices.
Of listening. Trusting. Refining. Choosing again.

She didn’t just become a coach.
She became herself.

And the way she leads now?
It’s magnetic. Grounded. Free.

She recently delivered a 3-part series for the Sisterhood, the Women Who Lead community on money and confidence—bringing warmth, compassion, and clarity to a topic so many women carry shame around.

“We covered the whole gambit—from the psychology of money, to under-earning, to business finance. What’s often missing is a safe space to ask questions, and Shivani created both.”

She’s also part of the very first Women Who Lead cohort—because she knows this work isn’t linear. It’s cyclical. And it’s sacred.

That’s what I love most about Shivani and so many of the Women Who Lead:
She keeps evolving. But always in alignment with her deepest truth.

Not performative. Not rushed. Just real.

I’m so grateful to walk this chapter with her. Click below to witness her amazingness on the LinkedIn live we did together recently, all about how to break the cycle of underearning and ask for more.

If you want to learn more about Shivani and the brilliant work she does with her coaching and workshop offerings, you can do that here.

And if you see yourself in her story—you’re not alone.
You’re in very, very good company.

Side note: If you’re curious about Women Who Lead, the waitlist for the next cohort is opening up SOON.

And if you'd like to experience a little Sisterhood IRL... this Thursday, June 26th in London, I am hosting a FREE session with a phenomenal guest speaker, Clarissa Sowemimo-Coker, CEO of Octavian.

It’s called "Voice, power, and presence: leading with impact and integrity" - and it’s for any woman who’s ready to speak with impact, say no without apology, and lead without shape-shifting.

We will be sharing the real talk on how to hold your own in high-stakes spaces—with presence, not performance. We’re talking discernment. Influence. Owning your voice.

If that’s what you need right now, come join us. We have one spot left to for a lucky newsletter reader, hit reply and see if it is still available.

Central London. Thursday. Morning. FREEEEEEEEEE.

Rooting for you always
Ruth x

Ps. If you’re ready to be all of who you are, there are a few ways I can support you with that right now:

  1. Hit reply if you think you might want to be part of the next Women Who Lead cohort (likely August/September) — I’ll make sure you’re first to hear when the waitlist opens.
  2. I have just ONE SPACE open for 1:1 clients — hit reply if you want to find out more.
  3. Invite me to speak at your company and let’s see if we can get them to invest in the women on your team 💫 and thank you to those of you who have already made introductions!

You cannot speak butterfly language to caterpillar people 🐛🦋
Hello beautiful soul I was sitting in a cafe in New York the other day romantisicing my whole life with a tahini soft serve of dreams. And I heard something from the table next to me that stopped me slurp. "You cannot speak butterfly language to caterpillar people." I do not know exactly who said it. I do not know what conversation it came from. But I pause my love affair with the soft serve...

Hello beautiful soul I want to introduce you to something I have been working on 🤫 I call them the seven shades of separation. Seven ways a woman leaves herself behind — and what she is really protecting underneath. I created these from years of working with women in leadership. One in particular. Me. Hahaha. But also from patterns I kept seeing over and over again in the rooms I sit in. From ...

Hello beautiful soul Something happened in a room somewhere in London last week that I want to bring you into. I hosted an event. In person. Women gathered around the topic of imposter syndrome — or more specifically, why I do not think it exists. Not in the way we have been told it does. If you want my full "hot take" on it, watch my TEDx here. And something happened in that room that always...
