2025 is not about playing small any more gang ❤️‍🔥

Hello beautiful soul

big yawn and stretch

Well, that was just what the doctor ordered. For those of you who didn’t catch what I was up to for the past few weeks, I was observing ‘imbolc’, which is a period of rest and reflection in the celtic calendar that used to be honoured from the winter solstice until about now.

Imbolc marks the end of winter and the start of spring. It is associated with the lambing season and the birth of new life. And boy have I been rebirthing haha.

I write this from my new (albeit temporary) base in NYC, a delightful little pad in Bushwick, Brooklyn.

Whilst it is supersonically cold much of the time so I am hibernating, even from my cosy little pied à terre, the energy of this little part of the earth has provided me with a great foundation to rest, reflect and bring to life what is coming next.

Fast facts in case you are new here:

  • Bloom 1.0 launched in January 2023, two whole glorious years ago.
  • Bloom 2.0 launched in January 2024, taking in learnings from the first year.
  • I have worked with over 50 women in leadership in that time, and have had a ringside seat to the challenges that we face repeatedly as women.
  • What I have learnt is HUGE, and I realised it was time for a total revamp of what I originally created for Bloom.

The sacred pause gave me space to rebirth Bloom and infuse it with aaaaaall my learnings in the past 24 months.

Over the next few weeks, I’ll be sharing a LOT more. Promise promise.

But for now know two things about Bloom 3.0:

  1. This is not about playing small any more, about shrinking ourselves to fit the scraps that society and the workplace has been giving us. Leadership development tactics on their own were great, but I needed to take it deeper by looking at the body mind connection.
  2. When we activate our life force energy and work with our nervous system, everything changes. Part of the new Bloom will include energetic practices and yoga - if you want to join me and the Bloom community on Fridays at 1pm UK/8am ET for any of the free classes I am offering please let me know.

This is the dawn of a new era, and I have never felt more proud or more aligned with what I am bringing to the world… or more qualified to be the woman that brings this new energy to my sisters.

How do you feel about helping me make some decisions along the way gang...?

Let’s start with the logo.

Which one do you like the best and why...? 1, 2 or 3?

Rooting for you always

Ruth x

Leadership is an energy, not a role. Period.
Hello beautiful soul Leadership is an energy, not a role. Period.  The difference between being abused and respected in the workplace isn’t a title. It isn’t a pay rise.It isn’t even the policies. It’s an energetic shift. I was speaking to a phenomenal, wise oracle of a woman at Female Founder World summit this past weekend — she’s in her 60s — and we were both reflecting on this. The energetic...
"No, I don't have work life balance, but that's my fault" 🫠
Hello beautiful soul In 2010, I sat across from my first ever coach and and eventually asked what I really wanted to know, “How can I make him love me more?” I was there because something “didn’t feel right at work.” I was talking about my first husband, an almost 12-year relationship at that point. Like many people who are being abused, I didn’t know I was living in domestic abuse.  I actuall...
